By downloading or using the Sift app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
Sift is an AI content detection tool that analyses images, videos, and text to estimate the likelihood that content was generated by artificial intelligence. Sift is operated by Sift Labs, a sole trader business registered in Australia (ABN held by Toby Cox).
AI detection is probabilistic, not definitive. Sift provides confidence scores and estimates — not guaranteed verdicts. Results may be incorrect. You must not rely on Sift as the sole basis for any legal, professional, or consequential decision. Sift Labs accepts no liability for actions taken based on detection results.
You agree not to use the App to:
All intellectual property in the App, including its design, code, and branding, belongs to Sift Labs. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without written permission.
The App relies on third-party APIs including Sightengine and GPTZero. Sift Labs is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sift Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@siftlabs.app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
